Annexation math:
Recently several letters to the editor have referenced how annexation has been shown mathematically to benefit both the town and the village. Here are several examples of that math, using the proposed apartment complex as a specific case. I have also added some additional background information.

The Board of Trustees, at my urging, has initiated a study with the goal of moderating the short term and long term cost of the Village police force. This is in no way intended to be a criticism of our force. Rather, it is a sober recognition of a growing financial problem in the village, one that I think we would do better to face now rather than later. Here are some of the numbers and other comments.
