Platform summary:  Yurgartis mayoral campaign

Here is a summary of my top goals for the village over the next few years.

• Preserve local control of local interests  ("no" to dissolution of the village)
• Expand our tax base by encouraging new businesses and construction of new housing and a new hotel
• Control annual expenses, and start to get a handle on our long term financial obligations
• Develop closer cooperation between the village and our large institutions (the colleges and the hospital)
• Get the West Dam Hydro project up and running
• Work with the Town Board to improve sharing of services and costs

As I hear more from village residents I will be refining these goals and adding more detail.  Please contact me with your questions and comments.
